Death of 7-Month-Old Baby Prompts Investigation

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com)- The death of a 7-month-old baby boy has prompted officials to launch a death investigation.

On Saturday, January 7, 2017, at approximately 9:08 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a “Baby Not Breathing” 911 call. The baby was transported to St. Mary Medical Center. Life-saving efforts were attempted, but ultimately the baby was pronounced deceased 9:35 p.m.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division were summoned and are investigating the incident. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
