LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. (PRESS RELEASE) With a Santa Claus look-alike watching intently, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved expansion plans for SkyPark at Santa’s Village in Lake Arrowhead. The new project calls for an amusement park, campground, restaurants, bar, wedding & reception facility, retail, trails, recreational activities and other accessory uses on 153 acres.
“This will be a wonderful family attraction and underscores San Bernardino County’s commitment to welcoming business investment,” Board Chairman Lovingood said.
The northern area includes the development of a mixed-use adventure park that would include a variety of activities and services. Nineteen original buildings exist on the Project site totaling 23,389 square feet. The southern portion of the site is currently undeveloped. It is proposed for development into a campground that would accommodate both recreational vehicles and tent camping. Other planned features include:
• Amusement park with mountain bike park, hiking and tours
• Forest playground with wilderness adventure/zipline and aerial park
• Skybike monorail with fly fishing lake and stream
• Retail & restaurants with Santa’s Village/winter attractions
• Wedding Services with parking and circulation improvements.
Peak season for the proposed Project is anticipated to be November and December (approximately 2,000 visitors per day). Low season is anticipated to be during spring and early fall, while summer is anticipated to have an average of 1,000 visitors per day. For more, visit http://skyparksantasvillage.com/
