Coroner IDs pedestrian struck and killed on Mojave Drive in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle earlier this week, as Salvador Ramirez Perez, 62, of Victorville.

It happened just after 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 24th near the intersection of Mojave Drive and Ferndale Road in Victorville after receiving reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Emergency crews transported Perez to Victor Valley Global Medical Center, where he was declared deceased at 7:38 p.m.

Through the investigation, “deputies determined a black Nissan 200 was traveling east on Mojave Drive near Ferndale Road. A pedestrian crossing Mojave Drive, outside of a marked crosswalk, was struck by the Nissan,” stated a sheriff’s news release.

The driver of the Nissan was treated and released at the scene.
