Apple Valley, CA – The Town of Apple Valley, in partnership with The Village Property and Business Improvement District (PBID) Association, is seeking public input to improve a 1.1-mile section of the town’s historic business corridor between Navajo and Central roads.
A workshop to discuss the vision for The Village will be held on May 8 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Apple Valley Moose Lodge at 21955 Highway 18. Attendees will participate in a walking tour of the district to identify transportation challenges, opportunities for improved access to businesses and other enhancements that would make The Village an even more popular destination for shopping, dining and events such as the Happy Trails Parade.
The SR-18 Corridor Enhancement Plan is funded by a Caltrans grant.
“This grant will help us not only improve this critical transportation corridor through Town, but allow us the opportunity to pursue additional grants,” said Mayor Pro-tem Larry Cusack, who also serves on the PBID Board. “The enhancement plan will further increase access for our residents who visit The Village to shop and experience the many events the district has to offer.”
A second meeting will take place on Oct. 30 at the Apple Valley Conference Center. An on-line survey is also available at https://lbps.typeform.com/to/uYnLgJ for business owners, employees, community members, town visitors and other participants who cannot attend either meeting in person.
