Car crashes after pursuit with Apple Valley Deputies; man extricated

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) A man who attempted to flee from deputies during a pursuit rolled the vehicle and crashed into the yard of a home.

At about 1:17 am, on August 11th, a deputy attempted to pull over a 2004 Honda in the area of Bear Valley Road and Mohawk.

The suspect failed to yield leading deputies on a high-speed pursuit. The pursuit ended when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the yard of a home at the corner of Wren Street and Mohawk Road.

Firefighters with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District were requested to extricate the suspect from the car.

The suspect was removed from the vehicle and transported to Desert Valley Hospital, and then airlifted to a trauma center. His condition remains unknown.

Sheriff’s officials shut down several blocks surrounding the incident and also requested the Sheriff’s Regional Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) to respond.
