HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) – San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel are working a swift water rescue in the California Aqueduct here in Hesperia Sunday afternoon.
At about 12:49 p.m. on February 4, 2018, 911 dispatch received reports of a man in the waters in the area of Ranchero and 11th Avenue..
According to unconfirmed reports, the reporting party is a 12-year-old boy who said his father fell into the aqueduct and never resurfaced.
A sheriff’s helicopter is also over head assisting ground crews as they continue to search for the victim, described as a Hispanic Male in his early 30’s.
The Department of Water Resources was advised and has stopped the water flow in the aqueduct.
As of 1:30 pm, the search for the man continues. The story is developing and information will be updated as it becomes available.
