Blown Tire Leads to Crash in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif : (VVNG.com) – At about 11:15 a.m on Saturday, August 6th dispatch received a report of a traffic collision on Hook Blvd. in front of the Brentwood. Elementary School.

Upon arrival, deputies located a black Ford Ranger partially on the curb with damage sustained to the passenger side.

According to the driver, he was traveling westbound on Hook Blvd. when he heard a loud pop, his car drifted to the right and struck a tree in the park.

Witnesses at the scene told deputies, a female inside the truck fled the scene with children immediately after the crash. Police searched the surrounding area for the woman.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the driver was not injured. The cause of the crash is believed to have been caused by a blown tire.
