Barstow CHP Accepting Applications for Senior Volunteer Program

BARSTOW – The Barstow CHP office is proud to announce we are accepting applications for the Senior Volunteer Program. We are looking for some assistance from our great community.

Volunteers will be assisting with tasks such as; assisting with administrative duties, teaching driver safety to seniors in the community, assisting with community events, participating in ride-alongs with CHP officers, and many other opportunities.

The requirements to get involved are, be 50 years of age or older, undergo a background investigation, no felony convictions, be of good moral character, be available to volunteer during office hours, be willing to perform various duties as assigned, and be able to work with minimal supervision.

We look forward to working with you! Applications can be picked up at the Barstow CHP office located at 300 East Mt. View Street, in Barstow, CA. In order to participate in our first training session, all applications must be turned in to the Barstow office by December 30, 2016.
