Authorities seek info on pedestrian hit-and-run in Adelanto

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital following a hit-and-run in Adelanto Thursday night.

It happened at about 11:22 pm, in the area of Bellflower Street and Wildfire Way in Adelanto.

Lorraine Gonzales, a resident of Adelanto, was on her way home when she saw a man lying in the roadway with people surrounding him. Loraine said the pedestrian, a Black Male Adult was very hurt. “It looked like both his legs were broken and he was holding his sides and kept screaming about his ribs,” stated Gonzales.

According to sheriff’s officials, “the adult male victim was crossing the street in the crosswalk when a gray sedan traveling northbound on Bellflower Street struck him.  The vehicle continued driving north on Bellflower Street without stopping.”

The victim sustained injuries to his knee and ankle. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

Deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station are looking for information regarding a hit and run.
