Apple Valley Police Searching For Stabbing Suspect

APPLE VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- Deputies from the Apple Valley police department are currently working a stabbing that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

Just before 1:00 PM, on May 18th, dispatch received a report that a male had been stabbed in the area of Bear Valley Road and Navajo. The victim stated he was stabbed on the side of his chest.

Per scanner traffic, the suspect is described as a Samoan male, 6’3, 250 lbs., with no shirt. It’s unclear if the suspect left the location on foot or in a vehicle.

A Sheriff’s helicopter is assisting ground deputies with an area search for the suspect. Police are also searching for a white older model Suburban.

At this time, the severity of the victim’s injuries is unknown.
