Apple Valley, CA — Apple Valley residents with yard waste, household trash, broken appliances, and other items they would like to discard are encouraged to participate in a neighborhood clean-up day at the corner of Nisqually and Central roads on Saturday, May 5.
Hosted by the Town of Apple Valley Code Enforcement Department, with the support of a grant from CalRecycle, items will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. free of charge.
Although the area of focus for the cleanup is centered within Bear Valley, Central, Navajo, and Pahute roads, the event is open to all Apple Valley residents.
No tires or household hazardous waste will be accepted. However, household hazardous waste can be taken to the collection facility at the Public Works yard at 13450 Nomwaket Road the first four Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tires will be accepted at Lion’s Park at a separate event on June 23.
