Ambulance stolen from St. Mary’s hospital in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Police are continuing to search for a suspect who stole an ambulance and later ditched it Saturday night.

At about 6:40 pm, sheriff’s dispatch received a report of a GTA (Grand Theft Auto) involving an American Medical Response ambulance taken from St. Mary’s Medical Center in the 18300 block of Highway 18 in Apple Valley.

Using a GPS signal, the stolen ambulance was tracked to the community of Brentwood in Victorville.

The unoccupied ambulance was located by a sheriff’s deputy in the area of Seneca Road and East Trail in Victorville, scanner traffic reported.

Sheriff’s officials have not provided any additional details on the incident.
