Amber Alert Issued For Boy From San Diego County

(VVNG.com)- The California Highway Patrol has activated an Amber Alert for 5-year-old Johnnie Melendez who is believed to have been abducted from San Diego County.

He was allegedly taken about 7 p.m. Saturday from an unspecified location in National City.

Per CHP, Melendez is described as a Latino boy. He is 4-feet-tall and weighs about 80 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a Batman T-shirt, striped boxer shorts, and slippers with the letters, “SD” on them.

The suspect is 27-year-old Gladys Suarez, a Hispanic female who stands 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, blue capri pants, and tan moccasin-type slippers. Her relationship to the boy was not known.
