ADELANTO, Calif. (news release) Police, Rodeo Queen, High School Band, non-profit organizations and a country band—oh, and the Mayor giving the State of the City address with the help of a unique video—are just some of what guests can expect to witness by attending the city’s first State of the City program to be held at Adelanto Stadium on Thursday evening, September 21.
“We are terribly excited to host this event for our residents, businesses, and dignitaries to showcase the dramatic turnaround Adelanto has made the past 18-months,” said Mayor Rich Kerr. “I hope that our reservations are an indication that our guests are excited too,” saying that originally only 200 reservations were planned and the number was increased to accommodate 300. “We’re at 227 now but anyone interested in attending should make a reservation by September 14” said Kerr.
Along with the chance to visit among 14 non-profit organizations during the two-hour event, guests will be treated to a meal courtesy of sponsors Valew Welding & Fabrication, Springfield LLC, Viking Run, Winston & Strawn, Tierra West Advisors, General Atomics, RPG (Romo Planning Group Inc.), ICR Staffing Services, Inc., PERC Water Corporation and Adelanto Chamber of Commerce.
Kerr indicated his remarks will be brief because as part of informing what is the state of the city, other Council members will share different perspectives via video.
Another unique perspective is that the entire festivities will be live streamed on the city’s website. Gates open for the evening at 5:30 with the program starting at 6:00 p.m. Anyone interested in attending can register online at: http://tiny.cc/Adelanto
