ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) Joseph Acevedo, 23, a resident of Adelanto was arrested for felony threats and sexual battery, authorities said.
On March 10, 2017, two female victims, both age 23, returned to their home in Adelanto and were approached by a neighbor, identified as Joseph Acevedo.
According to authorities, Acevedo appeared to be intoxicated and grabbed the arm of one of the victims asking to have sex with her. Acevedo then pulled her hand down to graze his genitals before she was able to pull away from him. Acevedo then grabbed the other victim in a sexual manner.
After the attempted sexual assault Acevedo continued to harass one of the female victims and her boyfriend.
The situation escalated on Saturday, April 22nd when Acevedo challenged the victim’s boyfriend to a fight.
“Acevedo’s girlfriend then brought Acevedo, a bat, and a knife and Acevedo threatened the male victim. He then told the victims he would kill them and their children with a firearm,” stated a Sheriff’s press release.
Joseph Acevedo was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $50,000.00 bail. The report will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office requesting charges be filed against Acevedo’s girlfriend.
