Adelanto Man Arrested for Methamphetamine Possession

ADELANTO-(  A 34-year-old Adelanto man was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance for sales early Thursday morning. At around 3:42 a.m. a Victor Valley Deputy conducted a traffic stop of the suspect, later identified as Julio Alamilla on Bartlett Road near Bellflower Street.

When the deputy made contact with Alamilla he located about an ounce of suspected methamphetamine and approximately $1,000.00 in his vehicle.

As part of the investigation, deputies obtained and executed a search warrant at Alamilla’s home in the 16000 block of Bellflower Street.  An additional 1.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine was located during the search.

Alamilla was taken into custody without further incident and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for possession of methamphetamine for sales. He is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail.
