APPLE VALLEY, Calif – In remembrance of the 15 year anniversary of 9/11 and the fallen heroes and victims of that day, the Kiwanis Club of Apple Valley, along with the support of High Desert communities, will hold a Memorial at the Civic Center Park in Apple Valley on September 10, 2016 at 9:00am.
The Memorial will include one of the last remaining fire trucks from Ground Zero and the 9/11 Memorial & Foundation of Ft. Irwin will conduct a presentation.
Speakers will include Sheriff John McMahon, County Supervisor Robert Lovingood, Civic Leaders and Representatives from the Town of Apple Valley, the City of Victorville, the City of Hesperia, Hesperia Parks & Recreation, our Military and local First Responders. Local youth will also be performing and participating in the Memorial.
Our First Responders and Military will have informational booths and complimentary hot dogs will be served following the Memorial.
The public is invited to attend and encouraged to participate in the Memorial to share with our community and country that we stand together and united as we did that day. Let us not forget.
