9-Year-Old Airlifted After Being Hit by a Car

VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com):  Just before 6:00 P.M., dispatch received a report that a boy on a bicycle had been hit by a car in the 15000 block of Ridgebriar Lane. When San Bernardino County Firefighters arrived on scene just minutes following the call, the 9-year-old boy was reported to be fully responsive.

A portion of Amethyst Road was blocked off from Hook Blvd. to Quail Cove Place in order to prepare a landing zone to airlift the juvenile for treatment. Per scanner traffic, the child was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is unclear at this time, information will be updated as it is received.
