3 injured after a minivan careens into Hesperia home

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) – One person had to be extricated after a crash that sent their vehicle crashing into a Hesperia home Friday morning.

It happened at about 9:00 am, in the 11600 block of Cottonwood Avenue when deputies responded to a two vehicle traffic collision with one into a structure.

For reasons still under investigation, a 2010 white Dodge minivan went careening into the front door of a corner home and narrowly missing a large tree.

San Bernardino County Fire used the jaws of life to extricate the driver of the minivan who was later transported to an out of area trauma center.

Officials confirmed two other patients were transported to local hospitals with non life threatening injuries and no occupants were inside the home at the time of the crash.

After the minivan was removed, firefighters worked to stabilize and shore up the structure. The utility companies were also requested to respond to the scene.

The Hesperia Sheriff’s Station is investigating this crash.
