2nd Annual Pet Walk in Hesperia

Rotary Club of Hesperia presents the 2nd Annual PetWalk.  Co-sponsors of the event are City of Hesperia, Hesperia Recreation and Park District and El Dorado Broadcasters stations Y102, Kat Country, 106 the Fox and Talk 960.

“Jimmer” Dillman, radio DJ for Kat Country 100.7 and his dog Gizmo will be the Grand Marshall’s of the event. There will also be some local dignitaries, Wooly Bully and other special appearances.

Date/Location: May 10, 2014 at Civic Plaza Park in Hesperia (Behind City Hall)

Time: 8:00 am to 12 noon

Tickets are $25.00 for the pet and person walking.  Ticket to the event includes official PetWalk T-shirt (if purchased by April 23), participation in the walk and entrance into all of the contests.  Other family members are welcome to attend and walk but each pet needs a ticket.  Tickets can be purchased on-line at or in person at Hesperia Veterinary Services in the Animal Shelter Building.

Contests include cutest pet, ugliest pet, biggest pet, smallest pet, best pet trick and drawings for all entrants.  Prizes include pet grooming and supplies, High Desert Mavericks tickets, gift certificates to local attractions, businesses and restaurants.

There will be booths with information and pet suppliers and animal adoptions from several non-profit animal rescue groups. Nutro Pet Foods has sponsored the adoption area and will have a booth with Nutro Pet Food.  Affordable RV will have RV’s on display to show how you and your furry friends can vacation in style.

Funds raised will go to the rotary Club of Hesperia to be used for High Desert Community projects.  The Rotary Club of Hesperia is a service organization. Funds from this event will be used to help Pet Adoptions for Seniors, pet care and spay/neuter of pets.  Additionally, the Rotary Club of Hesperia supports scholarship programs for High School students, Santa Clothes and Thanksgiving baskets.
