2nd Alarm Duplex Fire in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif:(VVNG.com)- Firefighters are currently working a 2nd alarm fire at a duplex in the town of Apple Valley.

The fire was first reported at about 5:10 p.m. on Thursday, August 25th, 2016 on the 20400 block of Thunderbird Road.

Upon arrival, a deputy reported a fence was on fire and the flames had spread to a nearby duplex.

Per scanner traffic, the exterior fire quickly extended into the attic of two duplexes prompting a 2nd alarm fire.

Deputies and firefighters conducted a 360 search of the units and all occupants were safely evacuated.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
