20-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed on Ranchero Road

HESPERIA, CA:(VVNG.com)– A pedestrian killed after midnight Friday along Ranchero Road has been identified as Kris King, 20, of Hesperia, the Coroners office reported.

On Saturday, October 8th at 2:05 a.m. officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian call on Ranchero Road near Mesa Linda Street, in Hesperia.

According to the San Bernardino Coroners office, a Toyota minivan traveling westbound on Ranchero Road collided with a pedestrian walking across Ranchero Road.

Per scanner traffic, when first responders arrived CPR was in progress.

Kris King was pronounced dead on-scene at 2:28 a.m. due to his injuries sustained in the accident. CHP is investigating the incident.

CHP officials were unavailable for comment on the involved vehicle. More information will be updated as it becomes available.

This accident marks the second fatal crash that’s claimed the lives of three people along that stretch of Roadway in less than 24 hours.
