1st Annual Veteran Appreciation Cruise Day

VICTORVILLE, CALIF.(VVNG.com)- Residents are invited to come out and support the 1st Annual Veteran Appreciation Cruise Day sponsored by Itchy Foot Deli & BBQ taking place this Sunday.

The event will feature live music, car & bike show, vendors, veteran resources, raffles, and lots of fun for the entire family.

“This is a totally free event and we just want everyone to come out and have a great time,” stated event organizer Jose Mendoza, a retired veteran. “There will be plenty of resources, gifts, and discounts for veterans.”

Mendoza says, many local businesses, organizations, clubs, and people have all come together and contributed their time and resources to help put together this free community event, event.

Event organizer and Itchy Foot & Deli owner, Tawny Postoian worked for the VA for ten years before opening up the Restaurant.

Itchy Foot Deli & BBQ will offer a veterans menu with up to 50% off the very tasty food.

“I can’t afford to feed every veteran for free, we [the business] are barely surviving. Protein and meats are expensive so 50% off some is my cost,” stated Postoian. “I want to give back what I can and if it’s just my time and some resources to put together a cool event then so be it.”

The event will take place this Sunday, November 6, 2016, from 10:30 – 3:00 pm. In the Itchy Foot parking lot located at 15329 Palmdale Road Unit V in Victorville.

The event organizers are still accepting veteran or car & bike related booths. For more information or anyone wishing to volunteer or offer donations for raffles should contact Tawny at (760)925-9487.
