18-year-Old Arrested With Loaded Handgun in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) Deputies from the Apple Valley Station arrested an 18-year-old man in possession of a firearm.

On Sunday, March 26, 2017, Apple Valley deputies were on proactive patrol in the area of Powhatan Road and attempted to make contact with Brandon Oshea Gipson, however, he fled on foot.

While running from deputies, Gipson was observed throwing a firearm underneath a vehicle.

After a brief foot pursuit, Gipson was arrested in the 13500 block of Yakima Road and the firearm was recovered.

Gipson was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for carrying a concealed loaded weapon. He was released from custody on March 27th, according to public court records.
