Michael Nguyen, age 26, and Sheryl Nguyen, age 28, of Chino Hills were present at the location. Both were detained without incident.

An enforcement officer from the City of Chino Hills Code Enforcement Division is also involved with investigating several building code violations. A case will be investigated by the Code Enforcement Division and the tenants and/or property owner(s) may be issued a citation for the violations and ultimately fined for the violations if they go uncorrected.

The investigation is ongoing. Evidence gathered during the initial investigation suggests that they were not in compliance with California medical marijuana laws and local ordinances. The City of Chino Hills has an ordinance prohibiting marijuana cultivation within the city limits.

At the conclusion of the criminal investigation the report will be submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for review and decide on what if any, criminal charges will be filed against the suspects.
