15 Freeway Cajon Pass Traffic Update

CAJON PASS: ( CHP temporarily shut down all northbound lanes of the 15 freeway following a traffic collision in the bypass lane. The collision was reported at 9:43 a.m., on the NB-15 near the 138.

Per CHP incident logs, a white sedan crashed into the center divider and the vehicle spun out eventually crashing into a second vehicle. The impact caused the krail between the north bound mainline to push into the southbound side of traffic. The #1 lane will need to be repaired.

A separate traffic collision was reported at 9:45 a.m., on state route 138 about 2 miles east of the 15 freeway involving a motorcycle. No other vehicles were involved in this collision. The rider sustained minor injuries.

As of 10:30 a.m., CHP closed the incidents and all lanes have re-opened. Traffic on the south bound side is a little heavier than the usual Sunday commute. The back up starts near the Main Street bridge in Hesperia and clears up around the 138.
