14-Year-Old Student Brutaly Beaten Near Mojave High School

HESPERIA-( At approximately 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, May 28th dispatch received a report of a fight with major injuries near Mojave High School on the 16600 block of Lemon Street.

The Hesperia School District police arrived on scene to find a badly injured 14-year-old boy. Multiple students were involved in the brutal beating of the boy.

It is unknown what the cause of the attack was or if a verbal altercation lead up to the violent attack.

The boy was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance where he is being treated for fractured ribs, a fractured cheekbone, extensive bruising and abrasions.

At least one was arrested, including a 12th grade student. The student was booked for felony assault charges. No further information is available at this time, information will be updated as it is received.
