1 airlifted after wednesday night crash in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) Firefighters with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District extricated a driver trapped inside a vehicle Wednesday night.

The California Highway Patrol incident logs reported a vehicle crashed on top of a k-rail at 10:42 p.m., on Ocotillo Way and Valley Vista Avenue. The vehicle ended up 50 feet from the roadway.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they located a vehicle with major damage and a male occupant trapped inside that would require ‘major extrication,’ scanner traffic reported.

Due to the patients, life-threatening injuries emergency crews requested an air ambulance and airlifted the male to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Victorville – CHP office. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
